Through innovations in medical service delivery, integrity and compassion in member treatment and communications, we strive to positively influence each of our member's personal health status and the overall well-being of the surrounding communities. Utilization Management (UM) decision making is based only on appropriateness of care and service and the evidence of coverage. Coast Healthcare Management does not specifically reward practitioners or other individuals conducting utilization review for issuing denials of coverage or service. Financial incentives for UM decision-makers do not encourage decisions that result in under-utilization.
